Samsung has introduced the Galaxy A18 4G, a new entry-level smartphone aimed at users looking for an AMOLED display, a large battery and long-term software support without moving to a 5G device. The phone was launched in several European markets in September 2026.
The Samsung Galaxy A18 4G comes with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display featuring a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 × 2340 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.
The phone measures around 164.4 × 77.9 × 7.7mm and weighs approximately 196 grams. It is available in colors including Black, Gray/Silver and Light Blue. Samsung has also upgraded the protection to an IP64 rating, offering improved resistance against dust and water splashes.
One of the biggest changes in the Galaxy A18 4G is its processor. The phone uses Samsung’s Exynos 1610 chipset, replacing the MediaTek Helio G99 used in the previous generation.
Samsung has not yet released extensive technical details about the Exynos 1610, so its detailed CPU and GPU architecture and real-world performance will need to be assessed through independent testing.
The phone is reported with 4GB, 6GB and 8GB RAM options, while storage can reach 256GB, depending on the market and configuration. A microSD card slot supports additional storage, with reports indicating support for cards up to 2TB.
For photography, the Galaxy A18 4G features a triple rear camera system:
The front camera is a 13MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture, designed for selfies and video calls.
The Galaxy A18 4G packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 25W wired charging. This capacity should make the phone suitable for users who want extended daily battery life, although actual endurance will depend on usage patterns.
The smartphone arrives with Android 17 and Samsung’s One UI 9. Samsung is also offering six years of software and security updates, giving the device a relatively long support period for its price segment.
As its name suggests, the Galaxy A18 4G supports 4G LTE rather than 5G. Other connectivity features include dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type-C. NFC availability may vary by market.
